Bounce Rate

Bounce rate is a web analytics metric that indicates the percentage of visitors who leave a website after viewing only one page without taking further action. A high bounce rate may signal that users didn’t find what they were looking for, or that the page experience needs improvement.

Calculation:

Bounce Rate = (Single Page Sessions ÷ Total Sessions) × 100

Example:

A landing page for a paid ad has a 70% bounce rate, prompting marketers to reassess load time, copy clarity, and call-to-action strength.
